Dance is a form of art that shows an instant connection to the song. You feel the song and you dance accordingly. But in dance, while some people normally groove to a song, there are others who passionately shows us all these different types of moves and styles. Popping:

Popping is one of the funkiest dance styles that arrived in the early 1970s in Fresno, California. This dance is based on the technique of contraction and relaxation of the muscles. In this style a person quickly contracts and relaxes the muscles to cause a jerk in the body, thereby referring it as a hit or pop. 

Chinese Dance

Chinese dance consists of many recent and traditional dance styles. It  has a wide range of dance styles, from opera to ballet and folk dances to public celebrations, rituals and ceremonies. In a Chinese dance, there are around 56 different folk dances, where the lion and the dragon being the most popular.

Acro Dance

Acro Dance is a combination of classical dance and acrobatics. It is a dance style which combines classical dancing and acrobatic element together. This dance style was formed in Canada and America in the early 1900s. Acro dance is famous for its smooth transition of acrobatics into a dance, which usually involves a flowy and snaky movement.

Hip Hop Dance

The Hip Hop dance styles were created in the 1970s. Primarily, it was limited to performing only to the hip hop music, but now it has changed ever since it has hit the mainstream media. The hip hop dance style has a wide range of dance styles from locking and popping to even breaking.

Kathak Dance

Kathak dance is one of the eight forms of the Indian Classical dance. Kathak is derived from a Sanskrit word Katha, meaning storytelling. This style of dance is based on telling a story through their facial expressions, hand movements and footwork.

Belly Dance

Originated in Egypt, belly dance is an Arabic Dance that focuses mainly on the torso region of the body. It consists of three kinds of movements named as Percussive and Fluid movements, Shimmies, Shivers and Vibrations.

Ballroom Dance

In Ballroom dance, the term ball is derived from a Latin word ballare, meaning “to dance” and room being a large room that is specially designed for dancing. Ballroom Dancing is also known as a set of partners dance, that enjoy dancing in a bigger surroundings.

Classical Dance

The classical dance also known as the Shastryia Nritya, is a dance form that originated from the Indian Culture. In the Indian Classical Dance, there are 8 forms, namely, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathakali, Sattriya, Mohiniyattam and Manipuri. Each dance form is depended mainly on Facial Expression, hand movements and footwork.

Disco Dance

One of the main factors that gave rise to the Disco dance was the strong disco beats and the rising vocals. Disco dance is dependent on the simple hand movements and footwork.

Swing Dance

Created in the early 1900s era, this dance style consists of four dance styles, Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, Balboa and Charleston. In which today the most famous one is the Lindy Hop that originated in Harlem in the early 1930s. 

Ethnic Dance

Ethnic dance is a form of dance that depends on the culture of a particular group. This dance form is either performed individually or in a group.
